New LO and Be Mine is ready

I got to play with a new little thing that Chanin is working on over at Snowflake Beach Designs. Its called Noel's Color Me Sweet. As I was looking through the contents of the kit this photo kept popping to the front of my mind so I had to use it. I really loved working with it.

I HAD to have a title that worked with the rest of the LO so I headed over to Atomic Cupcake. and downloaded their Crayon Drawing action. They are having a big sale that ends on the 31st. I'm still trying to decide which 20 I need to add to my actions collection :P

Now to my new kit Be Mine. I worked hard on this all day. Well at least while Kayleigh was napping today and well past 1:30 this morning. Its finally done and I'm am so thrilled with how it turned out.

I've decided I'll be giving this out in pieces. Papers today, elements tomorrow, and I've got some word art, too.

The full kit includes all of the following:

Progress and a freebie

I've worked on "Be Mine" as I could today. I haven't gotten too much done as both kiddos were home today. Jake started speech therapy this morning. Kayleigh wants to do puzzles about 110% of the time these days and requires help even though she can do them with her eyes shut :P It was also a crummy, cold, wet day. So we were all stuck inside. I also turned 36 today and I feel so old. I really need to get to bed earlier than 1:30 more often.

So I did a couple of elements here and there, but am still trying to figure out what I want in the set.

I've also been chosen as this week's digiscrap challenge hostess this week. I can't wait to see everyone's LO's. I decided this week we'd do a numbers challenge. I've requested that everyone use the following:

4 papers
3 fasteners
2 photos
1 word title

I've got that to work on. In addition to playing with another of Snowflake Beach Designs beautiful kits. I love the colors in this one.

You should head on over to Chanin's blog and grab the freebie alpha she has up. It matches the Cora's Best Friend kit.

I hope to do have a page done with the Ashlyn's Love page kit tomorrow.

Here is today's freebie.

you can grab it here I'd love to see your layouts using the templates. Please leave me a comment when you download.

Come back tomorrow. I think I'll have some Valentine's word art to share.

Sneek Peek

Here is a quick peek into what I'm working on for Valentines. I got my papers done last night and I'm so happy with how the kit is coming together. When I worked on Queen for a Day I started with Elements and it grew from there. This time I started with the papers and I I'll get the elements out in the next couple of days. I'm hoping to have everything ready to share by the end of the week.

Check back tomorrow and I might have the papers ready for download.

ETA: Looking at it now I see that the white on the red damask needs some work. I'll have to fix that tonight. Whites are so hard! :P

Another LO and a couple freebies.

I did another LO with the Cora's Best Friend today. I had this great picture of Jake. It is really hard to get a good smiley photo of him. He is either got a very serious expression or is acting goofy or moving around too much.

I altered 1 brad from the kit by adding glitter (flergs).

You can swing by Chanin's Blog and grab some sweet quick page freebies by my CT buddies and Charmaine and Belinda You should drop by their blogs, too, and leave them some love for those awesome QP's.

I love the way my Word Art title came out. I thought I'd put it up here

And now for the exciting news...

I finally took the leap and applied to be on a creative team. I've been thinking about it and the other night I stopped by the Creative Busy Hands Digital Freebies Blog and sitting next to my add-on to Queen for a Day was this cute little pink and green freebie. I clicked on that link and the next thing I know I'm on the Snowflake Beach Designs CT.

Today I got a chance to use this adorable kit called Cora's Best Friend

LO and a template to share

This week's LO required the use of the Wishing on a Star freebie from Yarrow
and to use a quote from a favorite movie or tv show.

Here is what I came up with:

I also have this little template I wanted to share. I made it up while I was doing my Mother and Child layout last week.

The next challenge requires the use of my Queen for a Day kit. I can't wait to see what everyone does. Now I just have to figure out what I want to do :P

I have exciting news, but I'll post about that later ;)

Another week another LO

One of these days I'll manage to be more active here and post more than just a single layout. This one I did to enter in a couple different online challenges. One required you to make your own word art and the other had a theme of "ties that bind" and the use of Photoshop actions.

I love this kit from NewLifeDreams Designs. Its called All Things Grow with Love. I see myself using it again.

All things grow with love Page kit by NewlifeDreamsdesigns at ShabbyPickleDesigns.com, Stitches by Syrin from Primavera Collab kit catscrap.com, Flerg's Glitter, Fonts: Pea Super Amy, 1942 Report, Underwood Champion Actions used: AC Grunge Ink, Wild Tear, Foam Text

Quote used in word art:
"The tie which links mother and child is of such pure and immaculate strength as to be never violated." - Washington Irving

You can snag the word art here if you want. It was made to fill the bracket mat so its a little big.
